The George F. Ackerman Company is unique to the equipment industry. In addition to selling specialized equipment for fruit and vegetable growers, (tomato harvesters, planters, irrigation, sprayers, replacement parts and service to the agricultural customer,) our company sells new and pre-owned commercial and residential lawn equipment. Our business was originally located in Oregon, Ohio and moved to our current location in Curtice, Ohio in 1980. The business was started in 1939 by the Ackerman family and continues to be family owned and operated by its third generation.
George F. Ackerman built the business from the early 50’s through the next 60 years with the help of his family and dedicated employees. George passed away in 2014. Today, his son, Mark Ackerman is the company president and primary irrigation salesman; son Kurt handles the sales of sprayers and allied equipment as well as his farming operation.
